North of I-40
On the "green side" of the mountain, north of I-40 lies the village of Cedar Crest. Boasting cool, green, and pine-covered surroundings, Cedar Crest is extremely popular with buyers looking for a rural lifestyle on a bit of acreage. The village businesses offer can fill most all the daily needs of residents, although the commute to Albuquerque is under half an hour. Average prices for these mountain dreams run in the mid $300,000's, and it is a rare, savvy buyer who can find anything much under $200,000.. Some of the more elegant estates bring in the million-dollar range.
