Placitas
Placitas started as a quaint a charming small village north of Albuquerque in the foothills of the Sandias, and has lately become a very trendy bedroom community for the city. Homes usually sit on some acreage, and almost always have absolutely stunning views of the mountains and the river valley to the west. Most properties feature elegant custom homes, usually Southwestern in style, and occasionally with horse facilities. It is very rare to find a home in Placitas for under $300,000, and some of the larger properties may bring well over a million dollars.
